Dental Hygiene

In our office dental hygienists use state of the art dental equipment and will evaluate and assess the health and condition of your gums. We will identify any existing problem areas, including the periodontal or gum disease and will educate you on how to improve the overall health of your gums and mouth.

Part of oral hygiene visit involves scaling and root planning, which is the removal of hard deposits, known as tartar or calculus buildup and dental plaque biofilm from teeth surfaces with the intention of preventing cavities (dental caries), gingivitis, and periodontal disease. People routinely clean their own teeth by brushing and flossing, and dental hygienists can remove hardened deposits (tartar or calculus buildup) not removed by routine daily cleanings. Our dental hygienists use Cavitron Ultrasonic Scaler to remove plaque biofilm and hard deposits on teeth more comfortably by using vibration & power of water. This will follow by a gentle & thorough teeth cleaning with hand instruments. Polishing and application of Fluoride treatment at the end will complete & provide a natural teeth shine to your teeth. The procedures are very safe for the enamel and essential for maintaining healthy teeth and gums.

It is recommended to do teeth cleaning every 6 month but some patients with gum disease may need more frequent visits every 3 or 4 months.

If you had bad dental experience in the past, we provide gentle, no needle or drills experience. Non-Injectible Anaesthesia Oraqix can be used for pain relief for most comfortable dental care. It provides anaesthesia directly into the periodontal pocket, a space between teeth and gums, without need for any injection that last approx. only 20 min.
